I feel like I just spent seven hours catching up on my email. I had about 400 emails, mostly theological discussions.

So…my trip. Where do I start?

Plane flight: Four and a half hours from Memphis to Seattle. That was the longest section. Security is tigher up North than in the South. I had to remove my shoes and abandon my stuff at one point. Insane and frustrating.

Weather: Cold. Snow. Yuck.

Moscow: I thought it’d be like a larger Monroe. But it was quite a bit more stand-offish. The worship was way different too. Made me sad.

Books: Ouch…about $400 worth.

The conference: Umm…the Bucer lecture was good.

Seattle: They have some cool architectural feats with the bridges over Puget Sound.

Insider info: Dr. Leithart said, I won’t say who, is typesetting his dissertation.

Spokane: Here is where I really enjoyed my trip. I wish I would have just spent all my time there. I really liked the Eyres. Isaiah was totally cool, which I didn’t expect at all. Evie was great, the exact opposite of what I expected. And the kicker was that Rachel was my favorite one. I always thought we would clash since we basically have the same personality. However, we got along really well. Two things about that group. Everyone gets an adjective, and they’re addicted to penguins. Isaiah (Beautiful), Rachel (Fluffy), Evie (Shiny), Jon (Floppy…formerly Munchy…formerly Creepy), and I (Smooth) went to the conference together. I ended up spending most of my time with them. I got my pictures today, and hopefully I will scan them sometime. I have one scanned, but it doesn’t want to download. I will hopefully get them up by next week. The trip inspired me to get a new AIM name: OneSmoothPenguin. So you can catch me there sometime. I can’t wait to see the video of the trip. Well, I need to catch up on all the work I missed. Please keep me in your prayers as a bunch of stuff is about to go down as far as me figuring out what I will be doing next year.
