Douglas’s Natural Symbols, Talal Asad’s Genealogies of Religion, Victor Turner’s The Ritual Process, a bunch of stuff by Emerson, Spenser’s The Faerie Queen, Chauvet’s Symbol and Sacrament, and Stanley J. Tambiah’s Culture, Thought, and Social Action. I really do read, even if I never talk about it lol.
