Although only 48 percent of American voters cast their ballots for Democratic Party candidate Al Gore in the last presidential election, fully 84 percent of university professors voted for Gore, says a poll by the Center for the Study of Popular Culture
Well I am supposed to finish up my coursework on July 1st. I think I’m insane. I am taking three hours of Early American Literary Master’s, three hours of independent study on Spenser’s The Faerie Queen, auditing Theory and Application of Dance, auditing aerobics and completing a paper on ritual language. Dance Theory has been cool…I’ve learned a dance from ancient Israel called Mayim and a Russian dance called Korobuska. I already knew the other dances that we went over (schottische, polka, chacha). Now, aerobics class may kill. If it doesn’t, I hear it will make me stronger. In any case, 275 lbs of Italian-Colombian in shoes about to fall apart, moving around for an hour and a half…nuh uh. The first day, the teacher said we were going to do warmups. Those about killed me. The sad part is I know it isn’t really that hard because I used to the same thing with pads on before football practice. ::sigh:: I feel my legs getting stronger already…it’s sad.
We had our May Southern Heritage Conference and Ball last weekend. It was good to see everyone again. Oh, and I met St. Paul.
