It’s how you play the game

My family played pictionary tonight - girls against boys. Every time we won a round, I’d stand up and do the Rachel dance, while my mom said something about it being scandalous. *shrugs* I find it funny that the next thing I was supposed to draw was “Florida.” Heehee.

Recipe

Peanut Butter Toast Cake (From the kitchen of Rick Capezza)

Ingredients:
Two slices of bread
Jar of fattening creamy peanut butter
Honey

Directions:
Toast bread in toaster until golden brown. Make sure you don’t burn yourself. Place toast on a plate. Begin to spread peanut butter on the bottom piece of toast. Carefully place second piece of toast on top, spreading peanut butter like icing. Make sure you fill in all the gaps. Put the toast in the oven for 30 minutes on whatever temperature you want. Remove from oven; let cool. Messily drip honey all over the toast. Warm the peanut butter toast cake in the microwave for 30 seconds, or until honey is melted. Eat like a slob. YUM!

Sacramental Accidents
I wonder if there have been any theologians in history that have posited that Jesus was, in the Incarnation, really made of bread and wine…kinda like a gingerbread man. I bet the only reason we haven’t heard of them is because they lost their jobs or were burned at the stake.

If the moon exploded…

Well, maybe we’d all be dead. I don’t know where this post was going, but as I just looked outside, I saw bright and beautiful stars sprinkled across the vast, dark sky. I feel sorry for people who live in town with all the streetlights that interfere with the glorious splendor of a starry night.

This morning…
I checked my email to see two pictures from Jessie of Steve Schlissel without a beard. Oy…what a way to start a morning.

Ever just in that mood…
The one where you buy a book for someone else?…for no reason at all…just your arbitrary choice…or maybe it’s not just being arbitrary…it’s just that you have a heart of love that just overflows in book buying…or something.
