Sodomy
When I was reading about a recent Texas case against practicing Sodomites, I was surprised to see that as recently as 1986, the Supreme Court upheld certain state laws against sodomy. Hmm.
One thing that frustrates me is…
how colleges often don’t put where they are located on the front page…or any other easy to find page. It’s like we’re always supposed to know where they are located. Blech.
Delicious
Following a Sensus Plenior link…(Hey am I not supposed to be renewing Sensus Plenior this month?) I ended up at Stacie’s site. Her middle name is Delicious. That sounds like something Rachel and I would come up with for a name for a kid. I won’t tell you the favorite girl name we’ve had (it goes well with the Capezza female family middle name), but one other one we were talking about the other day is a lot like Delicious.
ESL
Yesterday I was asked to teach ESL classes next semester. Unfortunately, I made up my mind awhile ago to not return next semester. I would have really liked ESL classes. *sigh* Oh well, on to better things, right?
Insane
I’m at my friend Donald’s house in Mobile, AL. I was Donald’s best man about a year ago. I just had to laugh because this morning he sat down to breakfast, leaned over his bowl of cereal, and said, “God bless me Lucky Charms.”
He also reminded me of the first time we met. In my second year of Latin, Donald joined my class. He had taken first year Latin under another instructor, and the instructor said, on the first day of class, “I can be a real b!^ch sometimes.” I replied back, “Yes, you can.” To which she said, “Yeah, and you can be a really lazy bastard too.” Ah…memories.
