So, when Tim talks about submitting to the law, and how the gentile believers were not required to do so, what precisely does he mean? Is he just talking about the ceremonial law, and primarily circumcision? What about the ten commandments? He lists alongside circumcision, the sabbath laws as something that they didn’t need to submit themselves to. Does that mean he is saying that Christians today aren’t bound by the fourth commandment?

Unless one is a Seventh-Day Adventist or the like, a Christian doesn’t keep the fourth commandment, even if the righteous requirement of the law comes to fulfillment in the Christian eucharist on the Lord’s Day and the practices of rest and economic justice that flow from that.
