My head has been swimming for about two weeks. Can heads get muscle cramps? Will I drown? I just ate lunch.

Backwards Blogging

I can’t seem to understand the concept of blogging less when you’re busy. I blog more when I am busy. I’ve been sitting at this computer since about seven o’clock, with a break for lunch. I will probably be here until seven or eight tonight, with a break for a nap. Then I’ll probably work quite a bit after I go home. In a meeting this morning, a co-worker asked me how my week has been. I said that it looked like something out of Space Odyssey. Has there been any lack of blogging? Surely not. Most of the time, blogging is what I do to give myself a mind break.

I have a ridiculous amount of reading to do this weekend. Is cloning immoral? If not, do clones have souls?

Terry Schiavo

I hardly ever take the time to sign these petitions online, but I can’t help but think maybe, just maybe, this will do something. Apparently, when it hit 11,000 signatures, it had some sort of effect on Jeb Bush.

Too much time looking at an atlas

I was born in New York City. The highest point in NY is Mount Marcy at 5,344 feet. I grew up in Oklahoma. The highest point there is Black Mesa at 4,973 feet. Woodall Mountain is Mississippi’s highest point at 806 feet. In Louisiana, it’s Driskill Mountain at 535 feet…New Orleans, incidentally, sits five feet below sea level. Sadly, the highest point in Florida is Magic Mountain in Disney World, but discounting that, it’s Britton Hill in Lakewood Park in Walton County, where I resided. It’s a whopping 345 feet. Until I moved here, I had continued to drop in sea level with every new state, but in Washington, Mt. Ranier stands at 14,411 feet.

More Cuteness

Tessa, the same student that has the daddy with the “tempo,” had a “horrible day” today.

Me: “I’m sorry! Why has your day been so bad?”

Tessa: “All the guys have been following me and calling me ‘babe.’ I think I must be the prettiest girl in my class. All I hear from those guys is ‘hey babe!’ They never leave me alone.”

It’s already starting, and she’s only 6. I think she’ll have to get used to it.
