Yikes.
I woke up very relieved this morning. I’d been dreaming that it was the day of the wedding, and everyone was running late. I was still in my pajamas, though my hair was already fixed up. My mom and sister were frantically going from store to store trying to gather enough flowers to make the bouquets. Oh, please, I don’t want to wait until the day of the wedding to buy the flowers! But it only got worse: I realized that I’d completely forgotten about buying my dress. (In reality, the shop where I’m buying my dress is an hour away from where I live.) I had one hour to buy the dress, get into it, and be ready to walk down the aisle. I didn’t make it and ended up walking down the aisle in my pajamas - though my hair really looked great.
Am I the only bride-to-be to have nightmares about the wedding day?

Nah.. I heard about a bride that called my boss because she was freaked out that her dress was hot pink. “You didn’t make it hot pink did you?” “Uhh.. no. It was just a dream.”

Nope… you aren’t the only bride. I had pretty trippy dreams around the time of my wedding — perhaps I should make them into blog entries.

My bride was nervous until I started walking down the aisle toward her. Then she cracked up laughing. The day of one’s wedding is a bad time to discover that one doesn’t know how to walk. A wonderful time was had by all — all except me. Ever since then, people at our church have enjoyed joking about the time Chris walked down the aisle at his own wedding. Well, at least I only have to go through that once, right? Wrong. I have seven daughters . . . I think I’ll get an electric golf cart or something.

What is so great about this being a “couple blog” is that a particular post could be by either of you. Try reading this post and imagining Rick as the writer. It breaks down towards the end … but the beginning is great!

Well….., guys don’t usually talk about their hair being fixed up.
