Questions

Rachel Booth occasionally posts questions on her blog. I pulled a few of them.

1. If you were instantly able to play one musical instrument perfectly that you never played before, what would it be?

Piano. While I love all the beautiful sacred music that I could play on organ, piano is more versatile.

2. If you had to have a personal friend redecorate your house, who would you pick to do it?

I don’t think I’d want to have anyone redecorate my house, but I would trust Isaiah. Eventhough our styles aren’t really that close, I could trust him to not do anything horrible. Our decorating style is somewhere between traditional and modern. We have mostly dark woods with simple designs, and we want to eventually paint bright colors.

Actually now that I think of it, my style is a lot like how Leah Sosa has her house, except a little less retro and she uses colors that are a bit too pale for me.

3. If you could adopt one personality trait from someone you know, what would you take, and from whom?

I’m not sure. I’d have to think about who my most outgoing friends are. I would like to be more extroverted. I used to be more extroverted, but I think somewhere after my move to Spokane I became more introverted. I miss my extroverted self; I feel like it makes me come off more friendly. I think I come off kind of grumpy sometimes, but I’m really not a grumpy, pessimistic person. Okay, maybe I’m a bit pessimistic, but I have a lot of optimism in me too.

4. If you could program the perfect evening of television shows, which ones would you select, and in what order?

When does evening start? Let’s say 5.

5:00 – Jeopardy!
5:30 – Seinfeld
6:00 – TLC’s “What Not To Wear”
7:00 – Gilmore Girls
8:00 – News
8:30 – Sportscenter

Okay, I think I would kill myself if I sat in front of the TV for that long. Sportscenter is a waste of time, but I find it amusing. Seinfeld is the same way. I really like Jeopardy!, What Not To Wear, and Gilmore Girls. The news will probably bore me again after the election. By the way, I feel like Gilmore Girls has been going down the tubes the last two seasons.

5. If you were given one hour to spend an unlimited amount of money in any store in the world, where would it be?

Probably a place like Powell’s. Or maybe a store that sold movies. Or a place that sells sacred music lol.

Kerry Q

Let’s assume that people making over $200,000 don’t have lawyers and friends in Congress to prevent Kerry from killing his tax increase. Does anyone know what would happen to us that will have more than $200,000 in a retirement plan? What about those that gave up social security for something a little more stable? What happens to our money? Just a question.

Bloggers I’ve Met In Real Life

I’m trying to compile a list of all the bloggers that I’ve met. I’ll list them below, but if you know, please tell me where to find Cory Kloth’s blog, if April Clark or Rijel still blog, if i’ve met you but forgotten to list you, if the person I linked no longer blogs, or if the link has changed. I just compiled a quick list from a year old bloglist I had and by looking at a few other people’s blogrolls. (And yes, I realize I didn’t list Forrest, Rebekah, Isaiah, or Holly.) I know I’ve met or know a ton more bloggers than this.

Turning into your parents

If my parents’ TV viewing didn’t consist of almost solely college football and WWF wrestling, I might say that I am turning into my parents. I think I may be turning into your parents. I watch the news and listen to it on the radio. I listen to CCM because I’m too afraid to never again find the station that plays classical music on my way to work. I watch vice presidential and presidential debates. I watch stocks. Ewww…what’s happened to me?

VP Debates

Didn’t you just love Cheney’s comment to John Edwards?

“I’m up in the Senate most Tuesdays when they’re in session,” said Cheney, turning to Edwards, D-N.C., whom he faulted for skipping lots of votes. “The first time I ever met you was when you walked on the stage tonight.”

Okay, so it was a little off. Cheney’s met him about four times. Obviously, he was quite forgettable each time.

Edwards has missed 38 percent of the 459 roll-call votes and all 45 votes since he became Kerry’s running mate.

Amazing.
