*Dancing a jig*

I found out last night that I’ll probably get to teach the Freshman Year Seminar next year, which means an extra $3,000 for an extra one hour class per semester. Moreover, my boss is going to ask the dean for raises in April, so I’m hoping for another bump in pay (who wouldn’t?). With 5 weeks of summer classes and the FRYS, I should be making about $7,000 more this year than I was really expecting to make.

Extra money. A wonderful wife. A baby on the way. The whole trial/appeal thing almost over. Weekend trips. Birthdays. A $40/mo. drop in insurance just for turning 25 and having a wife turn 21 on the same weekend, one day before my new premiums were set. Life is good.

Birthday/ Gamecube

Before we went to dinner, we were playing video games at the arcade. I felt bad for Rachel because here it was her birthday, and nearly every game she pumped quarters into was broken. Ski ball-broken. Race car driving-actually worked. Jet-fighter game–no missile launching button. Shooting game-broken gun.

Hollie and Jon as well as Matt Wilkins joined us at Bennigan’s last night for a birthday dinner. The waittress was talking with Rachel and me when Matt walked in, and she said, “You know that guy??” Before Matt even got to our table he was stopped by someone else that knew him. What a popular guy.

And why not? He lent us his GameCube, so Rachel and I stayed up and played that til way too late. I still haven’t figured out how to punt well on Madden football, but as long as I have a good defense, I don’t worry about it too much. I just go for it on 4th.
