ultrasound

We’re headed to get another ultrasound in about 45 minutes. This time, I’m bringing a blank tape so it can be recorded. Has anyone else done this (Besides Brad and Adrienne, who gave me the idea)? I think it would be really cool for Kyrie to be able to watch it when she’s older.

We did, but I have no idea where it is *blush*. We watched it and it was blurry and hard to see… but still neat.

Yeah, when I put the tape in at home, it didn’t look as clear as it did on the doctor’s monitor…but that might be because our tv is old.

Our recordings are blurry too. The photos tended to be much clearer.

My aunt has an extended (the doctor thought something was wrong with her) ultrasound of one of her girls back some thirteen or fourteen years ago. It’s amazing how clear it is; almost like 3D technology or something.

Tape? They should give you a DVD with scene selection and commentary and everything…

Although I forgot to bring my tapes along for the boys’ ultrasounds, I’ve taped both of my ultrasounds from this pregnancy and will add one more next week. The quality isn’t superb but it’s not that blurry either. Ethan enjoys watching them.

Ooh, I want to see…we’ll have to have another sleepover - or even some kind of get together - soon again and see baby Kyrie somersaulting. ‘Course she’s coming pretty soon, so maybe it will be more of a play date for our girls.

She’s not coming THAT soon. Would you guys be up for a sleepover at OUR place? Our spare room has a queen and a twin, and we have a playard too if that’s not enough. Or would that be too much of a hassle with your two?

We’re considering putting a small 3 ft. pool in our backyard, so we’d have entertainment too.

That’s right, y’all do still have a while…and I think God slows down the clocks in pregnant women’s houses for the last 3 weeks. Give Lexie a few more weeks and we’d love to trek on to see your purple bathroom (or did it used to be purple and now it’s yellow, I’m forgetting) That’s plenty o’sleeping space. And Stephen got a nice, plain Coleman sleeping bag for his birthday (not a cartoon character one for which he might get made fun of at age 8 like one of his DNA contributors) that he can use.

Well, I’m in school for about two more weeks. Usually weekends mean grading papers for me. Satuday, August 13, I have to walk with the summer graduating class, but I have the rest of that weekend free. And the next weekend is good. Rachel will have hit full-term at that point.

Fall semester starts the week after that, so it will start getting a bit harder. Rachel’s due Sept 15…though the baby is small so we’re not sure if she’ll go into labor early.

We’ll have family for most of October.

    So…

We tried watching Samson’s ultrasound tape once, but boredom kept us from finishing. We were there during the ultrasound, so the replay wasn’t very exciting. Maybe Samson will enjoy it, but, if he’s anything like his dad, I doubt it. I did make sure to label the tape clearly so Thomas wouldn’t record Conan over it.
