I know. We’re horrible people for putting our tree up before Advent. But we’re leaving town the 2nd week of Advent and won’t be back til Epiphany. And we missed Christmas at our house last year too, so give us a break.

I’m not sure why, but I was in a sort of cheerful sarcastic sort of mood this morning during church, and when communion was passed out, I just looked at my “bread” and said to Rick, “This looks like a chiclet. Do you think this is what the Last Supper looked like?” Then Rick pointed out that if a church website displayed a picture of a chiclet-sized cracker and mini glass full of grape juice on their banner, it might not be as effective to draw people in. For some reason, that mental picture cracked me up. I’d love to see a site that shows what the communion actually looks like at their church instead of the typical chalice and golden loaf of bread. Hehe. At least it wouldn’t be false advertisement.
