Seems to be the closest thing to Indians.

Have you heard any explanation for “Warhawks,” i.e. how it represents ULM? Honestly, of the top three, it’s probably the best. “Bayou Gators” wouldn’t be bad if it weren’t four syllables and didn’t sound like it came from Waterboy. “Bayou Hawks” is better than “Bayou Gators,” but again, it makes me wonder why we’re calling ourselves hawks, and it seems a bit contrived. I mean, who ever heard of a bayou hawk?

Yeah, the Warhawks were led by Chennault in WW2. It’s okay, but war is politically incorrect. We’ll have to replace it one day too. The whole “Bayou” thing does sound like something out of the Waterboy. I wonder if hawks is short for Warhawks.
