My poor, aching back…

I’m only 22. I feel like I’m 50. I guess I slept weirdly last night and I’m paying for it today. It’s not easy to carry around a 20 lb. baby when I’m having sharp pains in my back. Poor, poor me.

At least I’m now done with the flu. I had that all day yesterday.

I’m not sure what the point is either, but I did it too.

[2] I have been on some sort of varsity team.
[3] I have run more than 2 miles without stopping.
[4] I have been to Canada.

Tea & Baby Shower

My cousin Heather recently had a baby girl, Brianna. We all had a baby shower for her this afternoon at my mom’s house.

Here’s the food before it was consumed:

Here’s little Brianna:

Here’s a couple of my own little sweetheart. She’s just too cute to leave out.

My little girl isn’t so little…

Just as I began writing this post, Kyrie let go of the chair that she was holding on to for support and slowly slid to the floor, doing the splits.

But what I was going to write was that she’s officially cruising now. And last night, she actually climbed up one of the stairs.

Big girl.

American Idol

Okay, so Taylor won last night. And he was pretty entertaining. Still, I’m not that impressed. I quit watching American Idol several weeks ago (the week before Mandisa was voted off), but I have been catching up through clips online.

Of course, Chris was my favorite. But Elliot has really been impressing me lately. I thought he was kind of boring on American Idol, but he sounds so much better than other contestants in clips on the computer and also when he’s performing in other places. It’s like he didn’t fit with the American Idol stage.

All the other contestants sound pretty bad when they go on other shows, but Elliot sounds great. Obviously we hear differently when watching at home, but I wonder if the orchestra obscures certain types of voices or what. Anyway, Elliot is gaining in my mind, and I was never a fan.

So I guess I haven’y blogged in over a week. I don’t even remember what I did over the last week. I played some Super Smash brothers, watched Timothy’s Spiderman cartoons, and played fierce battles of Taboo, Cranium, Apples to Apples, Battleship, and Pit.

I caught up on the season finale of House. House has been really interesting the last 4-5 episodes. Foreman praying? A faith healer performing “miracles”? Chase praying over a patient? House questioning whether life is worth living if there is no meaning? What happened to the four heartless atheistic doctors? Wilson is the only one that’s supposed to believe in God.

I can’t even speak about 24. This season was beyond words. I can’t imagine another show comparing right now.

I added about fifteen feeds to bloglines and joined the Belhaven network of facebook (which I don’t even use unless a student emails me through it).

I have become a master of croquet and badminton, two “sports” I’ve never played.

Okay…I sound like a bum.

I’ve read a paltry 200 or so pages this week. Aunt Pari and Uncle Trevor are also in town this week, so we visited with them. Forrest had to go to Utah tomorrow and the girls are having a tea party, so maybe I will get some reading done tomorrow.

Kyrie disliked carrots…and peas. Officially, the only food that hasn’t made her gag is squash…something I don’t like.

I hope everyone is getting up early to hit the Ascension Day Sales at the mall.

Pictures from Today

I think Kyrie doesn’t really look like herself in this picture, but it’s cute anyway cuz she’s smiling.

Checking up on baby blogs, no doubt.

We went to Manito Park today…it was just gorgeous.

Timothy throwing a frisbee.

More pretty pictures.
