From Wana and Dapa (Grandma & Grandpa). Thanks for the birthday money — I found this at Toys R Us and it’s just perfect. She loves it!

Cloth Diapering Talk — Calling All Experts

Posted by Rachel in Childrearing (Friday October 5, 2007 at 11:25 am)

I’m shopping around for cloth diapers. So far, the ones I’ve liked the look of are Happy Heiny’s, BumGenius, and FuzziBunz. I’m looking mostly at the pocket diapers but I’m intruiged by the all-in-ones. Can some cloth diapering experts give me some feedback on the pros & cons of some of these?

Our little faker

Kyrie is pretty far along in a lot of her abilities. For example, she has more balance than any kid I’ve seen. She’s been running since she was 10 months old. She can throw a ball across a room like a boy, and she’s going to be one heck of a soccer player. She knows her colors and most of her letters.

But when it comes to her verbal ability, she’s pretty average. It probably doesn’t help that I don’t enunciate well. Having not been around a whole lot of kids in my life, I expect way too much of her. Anyway, last night, Rachel and I were talking about her verbal abilities, and Rachel mentioned how if Kyrie doesn’t know a word, she makes a word up. Rachel said,

“With Kyrie, she fakes it until she makes it.”
At this point, Kyrie piped up, “Yeah, I do.”
