Kyrie has a truly unique fashion sense.

Kyrie has a truly unique fashion sense.

A couple days ago, Rick bought me some strawberry pop. When Kyrie sees me drinking from a can, she says, “Is that Mommy’s coffee?” I’m not sure why she thinks it’s coffee. I don’t even drink coffee!
Also, a new thing she’s doing is adding “Maybe” to the beginning of her sentences. It’s cute. “Maybe read a book?” and “Maybe Kyrie go outside?” are some examples.
She’s also a huge fan of Super Why, a show that comes on PBS. When it’s over, she’ll say, “My Super Why show is over!” and turn off the TV. Then she’ll ask when it’s going to be on again.
She’s really into Bambi right now. The other day she was watching it and she said, “There’s a Mama Bambi, and a Kyrie Bambi,” and later, in a scene where two bucks are fighting, she said, “Two Papa Bambis are fighting!”
She’s too cute.
Isn’t she sweet? All jammified.

My boy.

Who can resist baby feet?

He’s a happy guy.

Sibling bliss.

Too busy to look at the camera

We love you! Happy birthday, 2-year-old!
Kyrie: “I want to go to Applebee’s! Applebee’s! Applebee’s!”
Rick: Kyrie, you don’t even know what Applebee’s is.
Kyrie: Applebee’s is a store.
We had been complaining about gas prices, and as we were leaving Books-A-Million, I looked over at the Wal-mart gas station:
Rick: Whoa, gas is $3.04 at Wal-mart.
Kyrie: Vote Ron Paul! Boo-ya!
Just now, I was calling Rachel to ask what Kyrie said. She was putting Kyrie to bed, and Kyrie pushed her and said, “Go see Papa.”
Lately Kyrie has been saying “Boo-ya” to things. I have no idea where she got it from, but it’s hilarious.
Yesterday she looked at me and said, “Nice butt.” I think I know where she got that one from.
Also yesterday, she was pulling a dress over her head and it got stuck. She cried out, “My head’s MISSING!”
Especially when they’re both happy and being sweet. Sorry the picture quality is blah.

Antonio went in for his well-check today.
Stats:
13 lbs. 11 oz. (93rd percentile)
23″ long (55th percentile)
He looks much less chubby to me than Kyrie ever did. But looking in Kyrie’s baby book, her weight and length at 2 months (13.5 lbs, 23.5 inches) were very close.
When we got home from church on Sunday afternoon, this is what we found sitting at our front steps.

We’re not sure what we’re going to do about it. She is the sweetest and most mild-mannered dog I’ve ever come across. She’s also a new mommy from what I can tell, though I haven’t seen her puppies anywhere (which concerns me a little — my current theory is that she had them under our house, and they’re still too little to find their way out). She is very skinny, so being the compassionate people that we are, we got her some food and water. She’s still sticking around our house and I really think she genuinely wants us to adopt her. I feel so torn! She needs a good home, but I don’t know if we’re ready for a dog.
