Hannah and Anthony

2. How long have you been together?
7½ years

3. How long did you know each other before you started dating?
Officially, almost a year, not counting the time we knew each other online before that.

4. Who asked who out?
Rick asked me…well, he didn’t actually “ask me out,” but he pursued me.

5. Whose siblings do you see the most?
Mine, since they live closer.

6. Do you have any children together?
Yes, 2.

7. What about pets?
Nope.

8. Did you go to the same school?
Not even close! lol

9. Who is the most sensitive?
Me.

10. Where do you eat out most as a couple?
Now that we’re in Spokane, I’m not sure. We went to Chile Verde a lot down in Monroe. Here, it’s mostly fast food. We don’t go out to sit-down places all that much anymore. I kind of miss that.

11. Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple?
We’ve traveled across the country together quite a few times.

12. Who has the craziest exes?
Probably me. I used to like losers before Rick, quite honestly. Haha. And Rick’s exes are really sweet, godly women. So yeah.

13. Who has the worst temper?
Me.

14. Who does the cooking?
I do most of it, but Rick is pretty capable and does help out from time to time.

15. Who is more social?
We’re pretty equal on that.

16. Who is the neat freak?
Me. He appreciates that I keep things clean, but wouldn’t be upset if I was a bit more laid-back in that department.

17. Who is the most stubborn?
We’re both stubborn. He’d probably say I am, but I think we’re pretty equal on that.

18. Who hogs the bed?
The kids!

19. Who wakes up earlier?
Rick, because he gets up pretty early for work (well, early as far as I’m concerned, anyway).

20. Where was your first date?
Hmm. I don’t know where I would count as our first “date.” Our relationship kind of grew in a different way.

21. Do you get flowers often?
Compared to most wives, I think so.

22. How long did it take to get serious?
I knew I wanted to marry him after a week of getting to know him in person. I am pretty sure he felt just as strongly about me within that time frame.

23. Who eats more?
I’m pretty sure he does.

24. Who sings better?
Weeell, I dunno. We both can carry a tune.

25. Who does the laundry?
I do. Rick is afraid of the washer and dryer. He thinks they’re monsters.

26. Who’s better with the computer?
I’m guessing he is. But I know what I need to know to do what I want.

27. Who drives when you are together?
He does. I don’t even think I’ve filled up the gas tank since I got married. Yes, I know I’m spoiled!

28. Who picks where you go to dinner?
We both pick a place together.

29. Who wears the pants?
I guess he does? I dunno. Our marriage has never really felt like a hierarchy as much as an equal partnership. I don’t know if that’s bad, but that’s just kind of how we work.

31. Who has the better sense of humor?
We both have a good sense of humor. I love laughing at him, and he loves laughing at himself, so…

32. Who eats more sweets?
LOL! No contest there. Me.

33. Who cries more?
Me, by a long shot. I cry like every week. Although he cries at most movies, including Ratatouille.

1. When was your “engagement” anniversary: November 5, 2003

2. When is your “marriage” anniversary: May 15, 2004

3. How long have you known your spouse: About ten years from meeting online. Over seven years in person (we met on January 23rd, 2002).

4. How long did you date/court before you were engaged: Officially, about 1 and a half years, but we were in love for about 2 and a half years before getting married.

5. Where did you meet your spouse for the first time: At the Spokane International Airport. I still remember seeing him coming down the escalator off his plane. He was wearing khaki pants and a light blue button-up.

6. What is your spouse’s full name: Riccardo Anthony Capezza

7. Do you have any children yet: We have two: Kyrie, 3½, and Antonio, 14 months.

8. How many: Two…weren’t you listening?

9. Do you have any house pets: Nope. Kids are enough.

10. Do you own a house or rent: Rent.

11. Do you live in the country or town/city: City.

12. What is one of your favorite activities together: We love watching TV shows and movies together, while cuddling on the couch.

13. Do you have a favorite vacation spot: Of places we’ve gone, Florida is our favorite.

14. How many siblings (including in-laws): I have six siblings, and Rick has two siblings. So, eight.

15. Do you attend church, if so, what’s it called?: Yep. Christ the King Anglican

16. Is this the church you were married in: No.

17. What town is your current address at: Spokane, WA

18. Do you work or stay at home: Both—I’m a SAHM, which involves a lot of work.

19. Where did you go on your honeymoon: St. Augustine, Florida, and NYC, NY

Six Random Facts about me:

1. I straighten picture frames habitually. I also straighten area rugs, furniture, papers, pencils, etc.

2. When I’m thinking about something, I play with my earrings by pushing the earring back in and out over and over. Sometimes I end up losing an earring because of this habit.

3. I find stargazing to be comforting and haunting at the same time. It is comforting to me because when I look at the stars, I know God exists and I know that He loves me (might sound hokey to you, but there it is), and it’s haunting because I feel so small and vulnerable in this giant universe.

4. If I could be anything other than a stay-at-home mother (which I love), and if I had the talent, I’d be a performing musician.

5. I have had recurring dreams about church buildings for several years. When I was much younger, I would always be in a large sanctuary with tall stained-glass windows. The more recent dreams have taken me to staircases leading nowhere (or sometimes leading to areas where illegal or suspicious operations were going on) within a giant cathedral.

6. I always have a hard time coming up with a sixth fact on things like this.

“HOW WELL CAN YOU…?”

1. COOK: I can put together a decent meal.

2. SEW: Depends on what I’m sewing. When it comes to most things, sub-par.

3. CLEAN: I’m the best that I know.

4. SING: I can carry a tune, and my tone isn’t unpleasant, so I’d say fairly well.

5. PLAY AN INSTRUMENT: I play the violin well, but I’m not amazing.

6. WRITE: I’m a pretty good writer, but quite rusty at it.

7. READ: Very unfaithful, but good when I’ve found something that captures my interest.

8. PAINT/DRAW: Oh my goodness. I have absolutely no talent in this area whatsoever. Kyrie will be surpassing my skill level soon.

9. TELL STORIES: I’m pretty good at it—don’t do it often, though.

10. PERSUADE: That all depends on who I’m trying to persuade.

11. RESIST THOSE WHO WOULD PERSUADE YOU: It’s my speciality.

12. FLIRT: I used to be pretty good. I’m horrible at it now. I don’t flirt with anyone besides my husband, but when I try to flirt with him, I just come off as retarded.

13. SEDUCE: Haha. That’s easy (again, just talking about my husband). And might I add that this is a really inappropriate question.

14. DRESS: I think I can put a nice outfit together.

15. DECORATE A ROOM: Oh, I’m good.

16. DECORATE A CAKE: Average. My skills have impressed some.

17. PARALLEL PARK: I haven’t done that since driver’s ed.

18. REGULAR PARK: Pretty good, but I look for the spaces with lots of room on both sides.

19. CONTROL YOURSELF AROUND FOOD: I’ve never thought about controlling myself around food….?

20. CONTROL YOUR STRONGEST EMOTIONS: It’s a work in progress.

21. TAKE CARE OF CHILDREN: I do a good job, most of the time.

22. MAKE A CUP OF COFFEE: Don’t make it. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t do a good job.

23. MOTIVATE YOURSELF: I’m pretty good at this unless I’m terribly depressed.

24. ORGANIZE: I hate organizing. I try to just make sure things don’t get disorganized in the first place. But of course that’s unrealistic, and I do a decent job when the job needs to be done.

25. MAKE A DEADLINE: I don’t really do deadlines.

26. MAKE OTHERS FEEL COMFORTABLE: Hopefully I’m good at this. I know a bunch of people who are way worse, so of course that makes me feel better.

27. WRAP A GIFT: Eh, I’m okay.

28. DANCE: The Rachel Dance became famous for a reason. So, yeah, to answer the question…not great.

29. SWIM: I can swim competently for short distances.

30. DEBATE: I’m a very good debater. But I hate that other people are sensitive, so I don’t debate often.

31. DEFEND YOURSELF PHYSICALLY: I dunno, I’ve never had to. I have a feeling I would fail.
